We did it!!!

We had our first SWOP meeting and the turn out was better than I had expected.  We had Serpent from SWOP-Chicago come and help guide us and answer our questions and tech about having our own SWOP chapter.  Caludine, who runs the Bad Date List in Milwaukee and who works with youth in the sex industry came to share her knowledge.  We had a few exotic dancers, a burlesque dancer and escorts who all will be key in keeping SWOP going and who were eager to help when they could.  We had another community group to learn about SWOP and become an ally with us. A Broader Vocabulary was there, their a feminist bookstore and wonderful supporters of SWOP.

We have a lot of work to do and a lot to learn.  With everyone being involved and our the support we have, I'm confident we will do great things with SWOP-Wisconsin.

When I came home that night, I felt like I just brought home a new baby.

SWOP this week!!!

Our first SWOP meeting is this week, on September 15!!!  If there are any sex workers out there that would like to come and check it out, e mail me at becca@beccablossoms.com and I'll give you all the info.  I'm super excited about this finally coming together.  This could really benefit the sex workers and general community in Milwaukee.  I'm really hoping for a great turn out.

I HAVE to recommend a book to ANYONE who will listen to me.  It's called "If you have to cry, go outside", it's a very inspirational and real book.  The author, Kelly Cutrone is a very real, honest straight forward person.  This is hard to find in people and when I do find it in someone, I'm drawn to them.  Speaking of people I'm drawn to, I have been reading about the controversy that surrounds Chaz Bono being on Dancing With the Stars.  Its appalling that there are ignorant people out there threatening  to boycott the show over him being on it.  Really????  What year is this???  As far as I'm concerned, he has bigger balls than anyone who boycotts that show.  Chaz had the balls to become his true, authentic self in the public eyes.  Chaz is an inspiration to me.  I don't know him as a person however, I will start watching Dancing With the Stars just to support him for be as courageous and inspirational as he is to me :)

Slutwalk was a huge success!!!

It was a wet, rainy day and at first I was worried Slutwak would be rained out.  I was underestimating the dedication of the people of Milwaukee to our cause.  When I was the long line of people marching to Humbolt park, I was excited, surprised and felt tears in my eyes.  We did it!!!  The signs, chants and excitement that came from the crowd was overwhelming for me.

Our table filled up with people that wanted to buy our merchandise, learn more about Slutwalk and talk with us about our cause.  Our speakers were incredible.  Survivors of sexual abuse came out, told their stories and shared how they got their bodies, femininity and power  back.  I was truly inspired by these people.  One girl used belly dancing, another used her daughter's story and another used humor, and others used other ways.

When I got up there to speak, I felt nervous however, I felt the love and support from everyone there.  A new passion is beginning to grow in me.  I can use my status as an adult entertainer, my time, my efforts and my smarts to continue to make a difference.  My next step is to get our first SWOP meeting scheduled by next week.  I am also planning on working closely with other groups in my community.  We all need to stick together and fight for the changes that need to be made.

Thank you to everyone who attended, it was truly an honor to be there.  You will see me at other events, everywhere I can be, to help make changes for the better.

It feels good to use my success to help others and I plan on using it to the fullest extent.

Thank you everyone for  great event and for allowing me to be a part of it!!!

Slutwalk!!!!

I just got home from the last Slutwalk volunteers meeting and I'm super excited.  This event is going to be awesome.  I came in at the tail end of putting it all together and man am I impressed with what these people have done to put it together.  I'm honored to be a part of this and to have the privilege of speaking.  There are going to be other speakers there, the Brew City Bruisers, Burlesque dancers and lots of other stuff!!

Slutwalk is trying to stop victim blaming when it comes to rape.  It doesn't matter what a person is wearing, what the do for a living or how much they had to drink, it is NEVER the victim's fault when their raped.  I love the industry I'm in however, I hate the fact that there are people in our world that rape and I have even more when victims get blamed.

I'm donating some of my DVDs, every dollar that comes from their sale will go directly to Slutwalk.  I'll even sign them for you :)

I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone there!!

Thank you to all my fans that came out to see me at Exxxotica in Chicago.  I had a great time, met lots of wonder people and did a little networking.  This was my first big show.  I think I'm going to have to do more of them :)  I was signing with Galaxy Publicity, James Baratlet was kind enough to allow me to be at his booth.  To make things even better, I was right next to my friend, the legendary Lynn LeMay.  We had some down time to hang out with Chong and Disco Rick from Psychobabble TV.

One of my favorite things was meeting the people from SWOP.  I've been trying soooooo hard to get a SWOP chapter going in Milwaukee and haven't had a lot of luck.  Now I feel like I can actually start moving on this. Theres so much good that can come out of this and so many people that can benefit.

OMG, I think I have hit the status of the ultimate soccer mom.  I bought a minivan today.  It's a really nice one.  I went to the car dealer with every intention of buying a sports car.  I don't know how the heck I ended up with a minivan but I think Chong had something to do with it.

Hey Everyne!!!
I've been pretty busy lately and with all good stuff.  The kids are out of school so I've been spending a lot of time with them.  We spent one of our many summer days at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL.  We all have seasons passes and we will be using them to the full extent this summer :)  I love to go on all the rides, I havn't met one that I won't go on...yet.  My daughter is getting back into gymnastics.  Gymnsatics is her passion, its where her heart is.  She's been out for a few years.  She's working really hard and has alread been invited to join the team to compete agian.  She did great a few years ago in competition.  I know that with her heart and head in this like it is, she's going to be great.

I'm experiencing a 16 year old boy, he's my firs 16 year old.  He's and honor roll student, stays out of trouble, has nice friends and a great girlfriend.  He has a summer job and is saving money for a car.  Now if I can only get some common sense in his head he wll be in great shape.  The reasoning skills of 16 year old boys are nonexient.  He's really good at giving me dumb, blank stairs when I call him.  I think it's a requirement of the teenagers to give parents the'look' before they respond to anything we do and say.  I find it amusing and confusing.  How can such a smart, talent, goal oriented kids be so goofy?  He does make me laugh a lot.

On June 25, I had the pleasure of seeing Motley Crue in concert at the Bradley center in Milwaukee.  They are my all time favorite band and I sooooo wanted to fuck Vince :)  The New York Dolls opened for them.  The band themselves were great.  The singer was obviously a drug addict.  He looked sickly and thing.  He even asked about  Colombian coke and pills in Milwaukee.  No bueno.  Poison was the next band ad they did great, just as I expected  Their tight as a band and very interactive with their fans.  I respect that.  Ok, I wouldn't mind fuckin Brett.  I can always dream, can't I?  When Motley Crue finally got on, they started with a ton of in your face energy.  This was the best Motley Crue show I've ever been to.  Besides the fact that they rocked,  was there with my very good friend, Jen.  She's super cute, super awesome and knows how to have fun.

I'm gearing up for Exxxotica in Chicago.  I'm going to be signing with Galaxy.  My good friend and mentor Lynn LeMay will be there also along with some other great girls.  I'm really looking forward to networking and meeting my fans.  Come on by our booth and say hello.  Lynn and I will both be offering private appointments for the gentlemen that would like some one on one time with us.  E Mail me if your interested at becca@beccablossoms.com for info, Lynn's contact info or any questions.  This is going to be a great few days.  I'll love to see everyone out there.

As for tomorrow, I'm interviewing the incredible Jessee Janes in her hotel room with Psychobabble TV.  I love this girl.  She's always friendly and sweet.  She's easy to interview and lets face it, she's super hot.  I will be doing a little basking in reflective glory, LOL
